Srinagar: Chief Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Muhammad Azam Inqilabi paid tributes to the martyrs of 13 July 1931, who rose to revolt and laid their lives fighting against the autocratic Dogra regime.

In a statement issued here, Inqilabi said, “we respect all martyrs who laid their precious lives to keep the flame of resistance alive.”
He said in order to “streamline” the resistance struggle it is necessary its “command should be in those hands who have courage and resolve to take this movement to its logical conclusion.”
He appealed to resistance leadership to demonstrate “unity of vision and thought” to take the struggle forward.
MeA patron said restructuring of the movement is essential for its success. “In it those leaders can play a pivotal role who have spent their lives in jails and mountains.”
“Till both factions of Hurriyat Conference get united and shora system is established, these leaders will have to continue their struggle, as they are guardians of this movement,” he said.
Inqilabi appealed resistance leadership on both sides of Loc to start preparations to observe 13th August as “Self-determination day”.
He said the day will be marked by an “exemplary strike on both sides of ceasefire line”.
“On this day stress will be laid on the need to “demolish the Berlin wall (Loc), demilitarization, and installation of a democratic parliament in united-Kashmir,” MeA patron said.
“This parliament will decide whether to opt for independence or to have administrative links with either India or Pakistan,” he added.
