UDHAMPUR: In order to voice their concern over the increasing pollution in the atmosphere and generate awareness among the masses in this regard, an awareness rally was organized jointly by Government Degree College Udhampur, Government College for Women Udhampur and Government Higher Secondary School for Boys Udhampur today.
Hundreds of students, NSS Volunteers and Nature Club Volunteers from all the institutions participated in the rally that started from their respective institutions, passed from various bazaars of the city and terminated at GHSS Boys Udhampur.
The students were carrying placards displaying request to the civil society to curb such actions which pollute the environment and firing cracker to celebrate festivals is the immediate concern.
Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. Baseer Ahmed Khan was the chief Guest on the occasion while SSP, Udhampur was the guest of honour.
