New Delhi: At least 24 people were injured in a blast outside the Delhi High Court premises today, a police official said.
The blast occurred at around 1015 hrs in the parking area outside the gate number 5 near the counter where entry passes are made.
According to police, so far at least 24 people were injured in the incident.
The injured were taken to hospital.
He said apparently the blast took place in a briefcase near the counter and it was not possible at this stage to assess the intensity and type of the blast.
Delhi Police have cordoned off the High Court and barred the entry of vehicles into the premises.
The police have also appealed to people and media not to gather at the spot so as to avoid another blast.
It is a second blast outside the High Court in this year.
