Srinagar, Nov 27 (KMW): The Chairman of Peoples Political Party (PPP), Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, asked Omar Abdullah to repeat the history and arrest Narender Modi in the same way his grandfather arrested Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukerjee in May, 1953. Mr. Modi, who is known more for his Hindutva zealotry, insane nationalism and war-mongering rhetoric than political credentials. He is the incarnation of Dr. Shama Prasad Mukerjee.

PPP Chief, said , “ Omar Abdullah can exercise his powers and give the Narender Modi same treatment as was given to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukerjee and give a strong reply to the Hindu Zealots that this is Jammu and Kashmir , not India. Mr. Modi has same intentions as was having by Dr. Mukerjee to flare up situation in Jammu and start a communal agitation in Jammu in order to detach Jammu from Kashmir which is the unfinished agenda of his Guru, Dr. Mukerjee”. Therefore, Mr. Omar Abdullah must act in the same way as his grandfather acted against Shyama Prasad Mukerjee.
History repeats, said, PPP Chief, Engineer Hilal. He further said that Mr. Omar Abdullah has got golden opportunity to give reverse gear to his party and ideology to 1953.
Mr. War said, that in the year 1953, the erstwhile Bhartiya Jan Sangh, secretly opened its branch in Jammu Division, under the name of Praja Parishad, with Pandit Prem Nath Dogra as its chief. The Main Agenda of Praja Parishad was that there cannot be two P.M’s, Two flags and two constitutions in Jammu and Kashmir . Nor can be there any Travel Permit, for travelling within the same country. The Praja Parishad wanted that either the Constitution of India be applied fully to J & K, or Jammu be detached from Kashmir and merged with Indian Union. At that time S.M. A. was designated as Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. This position of a special status was given to Jammu and Kashmir, by virtue of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. The then chief of the erstwhile Jan Sangh Party, Dr. Shama Prasad Mukerjee, came out in the open and gave active support to Praja Parishad. On M ay 8, 1953, Dr. Shama Prasad Mukerjee decided to go to Jammu. He tried to enter Jammu and Kashmir without any valid permit. The State Police arrested him and he was detained in a special Sub –jail in Srinagar. Dr. Mukerjee, however, expired on 23rd June, 1953, in the specially created sub jail.
