Army jawan shoots self in Rajouri

Jammu: An Army jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official spokesman said today.
“Jawan identified as Lance Naik Ravi Kumar, who was deployed with 31 Dog Unit, shot himself last evening with his service rifle inside his unit,” the spokesman told.

He said on hearing a gunshot, his colleagues rushed to the spot and found him profusely bleeding.
They immediately shifted him to the Military Hospital but he was declared brought dead.
No suicide note or document was recovered from the spot.
Police have registered a case.
