Jammu: Chief of Army Staff General V K Singh today visited the Northern Command and reviewed the security scenario.
General V K Singh accompanied by Air Marshal D C Kumaria, AOC-in-C Western Air Command and Lt Gen A K Chowdhary, Dir Gen Mil Ops (DGMO) this morning arrived at Technical Airport here, S N Acharya, officiating spokesperson of Ministry of Defence in a statement issued here, said.
He said the General was received by Group Capt M Giridhar, Officiating AOC, Air Force Station Jammu, Maj Gen B K Dhingra, MGGS SD, HQ Northern Command and Maj Gen Surinder Singh, GOC Tiger Divsion.
After their arrival, they flew to the Northern Command Headquarters; he said and added that the Army Chief was received by Lt Gen KT Parnaik, GOC-in-C Northern Command.
The General was briefed on security issues by the Army Commander Northern Command while they later reviewed the situation in the Command Theatre, he added. (KMW News)
