”Let us work together to strenghthen national security,” Mr Antony said speaking to media on the sidelines of an international conference on Asian security here.
Asked whether the Army Chief was quitting, he said the Government had full confidence in the Army Chief and it had expressed this before the court also.
The Army chief had gone to court demanding that his year of birth be treated as 1951 and not 1950, as claimed by the Government.
However, last week, the Supreme Court ruled that Gen Singh’s date of birth would continue to be May 10, 1950, and not May 10, 1951, as he demanded based on his school leaving certificate, following which the Army Chief had withdrew his plea. (KMW NEWS)
