Srinagar: Former Pakistan-administrated- Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Atiqque Khan’s visit to Srinagar, has paid him an overwhelming response from all the quarters of J&K with everyone welcoming his visit with open arms. Seeing the response he has said that his visit will definitely further strengthen the ongoing Confidence Building Measures between India and Pakistan.
Besides all other parties Mr. Khan was also given a very positive response of reception by ANC (Awami National Conference). The President Of the Party Mohtarma Begum Khalida Shah while welcoming the former P.M said that ANC hopes to recieve full cooperation from Sardar Attique Khan to accoumplish holding of its first of the 5-Region Summit meet shortly in Srinagar and then in Muzzafarabad at the earliest,followed by summits in the remaining three regions of the erstwhile J&K State Gilgit-Baltistan,Leh and Jammu. This dream project of ANC founder & Former Chief Minister late G.M.Shah has already recieved his consent. She has also hoped that Sardar Atiqque Khan will interact with a cross-section of the society besides political leaders during his private visit. Khan as a veteran political figure of Pakistan Administered Kashmir is credited with having taken the bold initiative of opening of the line of commerce between the divided Kashmir during his regime, Begum Khalida said.
