APHC leader Hilal War Condoles Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam

Srinagar, February 14(KMW): All Parties Hurriyat Conference, (M) senior leader and People’s Political Party (PPP), Chairman Engineer Hilal Ahmad War on Thursday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Bashir ud Din Farooqi who passed away on Tuesday in SKIMS.

A delegation of PPP led by Engineer Hilal Ahmad War visited the residence of Mufti Azam to express his sympathy with bereaved family in general and Mufti Nasir ul Islam in particular. Mr. War was accompanied by young stalwarts of PPP Mohammad Shafi and Arif Khan.

It is worth to mention here thatthe contribution of Grand Mufti on social, political and religious fronts cannot be forgotten .He was internationally recognized personality of Jammu and Kashmir. He was a strong supporter of the movement for ‘right to self-determination’ of the people of Jammu and Kashmir people. “Grand Mufti was not only an Islamic scholar but a philanthropist as well and was supporter of Kashmir cause,” said Hilal War.

An emergency meeting of PPP and Bhutto Memorial Trust was presided over by Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, at PPP Headquarters, Rajbagh Srinagar-Kashmir on Thursday at 2.p.m. The meeting was held to condole the death of Grand Mufti, Bashir ud Din Farooqi. While offering his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Engineer Hilal War has offered special prayers for the deceased.

“For PPP Chief, the demise of Grand Mufti is a personal loss,” expressing deep sympathies with the bereaved. May God give him eternal rest and may his soul rest in peace and also give courage to Mufti Nasir ul Islam and his family to bear this loss.
