Srinagar: Another person was shot at and wounded by unidentified gunmen, in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
Official sources said unidentified gunmen fired upon a street vend
or Ghulam Hassain when he was returning to his home after prayers at Arampora in apple township of Sopore last night.
Hussain suffered critical injuries and was immediately shifted to local hospital, from where he was referred to Srinagar.
Later, people of the area protested against the incident and demanded that those involved in the firing be brought to book.
About six people were attacked by the gunmen in Sopore during the past six months, evoking massive protests.
Earlier during the day, a sarpanch was shot at and wounded by gunmen at Dadsar Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.(KMW NEWS)
