ANC Sr VP Muzzafar Shah along with High level delegation of Sr leadres Adv Mir Mohd Shafi, Ab. Rashid Wani, Rahi Riyaz Ahmad, Mohd Sultan Bhat, Syed Murtaza, Dr Hilal Ahmad saccoumpanied by Former Member Parliament Ab. Rashid Shaheen visit Sopore to meet with the family of the young girl who commited suicide. The delegation paid condolences on behalf of Begum Khalida Shah & later visited the spot where the incident took place.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Media watch, it was stated that
A memorandum is being sent tomorrow to the LG J&K with cc to DC baramulla pointing out the major lapses in the recovery of the dead body.
Though the local divers & the local police are doing a commendable job, but unfortunately the administration has failed to rope in the specialists of this field from the SDRF or the marine wing of the Army who could retrieve the body by using the head gear & the sophisticated equipment at their disposal.
Very unfortunate that the DC Baramulla has not found time to visit the family & the spot till now.
