Srinagar, April 10 (KMW): The chief of Al Umar outfit Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar today bereaved after his mother passed away here this morning. Condoling the sad demise, various political, social and religious organization of Valley expressed their sympathies with Zargar, who is presently staying in Pakistan-administrated- Kashmir. Hundreds of people today participated in the last funeral prayers of the deceased held in the premises of Jamia Masjid Srinagar. The prayers were led by Kashmir’s chief cleric and Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Among others Hurriyat (M) media advisor Adv Shahid-ul-Islam, JKLF (H) Chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir, President Awami Action Committee Youth wing Sofi Mushtaq Ahmad, Hurriyat (G) senior leader Muhammad Ashraf Sahrie, JKLF senior leader Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Hurriyat (M) senior leaders Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Syed Salim Geelani and Jaffer Kashmiri and prominent social activist Imtiyaz Rashid Chesti along with his aide Mehraj Musadiq were also present on the occasion. Meanwhile Hurriyat Conference (M), Senior leader and Jammu and Kashmir, People’s Political Party (PPP), Chairman, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War in a statement issued here termed the departed soul as a pious lady praised the contributions made by Zargar family for the freedom struggle. A special prayer session was organized at Mirwaiz Manzil in which workers of AAC, Awami Action Youth and Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid participated. They also paid rich tribute to the deceased and expressed their solidarity with Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar and his family.
