Srinagar: In a press conference at a local hotel in Srinagar, Chairman International Forum for Justice & Human Rights Forum J&K, Ahsan Untoo stated-“AFSPA is haunting and humiliating the humanity in Kashmir for the last 21 years. There have been tremendous custodial killings and disappearances under its banner.”
He further stated that even the human rights activist adv. Jaleel Andrabi’s killer Maj. Avtar singh is moving freely abroad and is yet to be brought to book.adv ab qadir sailani and adv peer hussamud din and many similar others killers are free of of stringent trials.
“Even Wamiq Farooq, Zahid Farooq and Tufail Mattoo’s killers despite being identified are not being tried well,” said Antoo.
“Divar lolab in the past years has seen 138 deaths of its locals in fake encounters out of which only 23 were militants and the rest were innocent citizens,” stated Antoo.
