Ahead of Shab e Qadr, Jummatul Vida : Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir chaired meeting of AAJ today

Srinagar, March 25: An important meeting of the office bearers and members of Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar was held at the central office of the Auqaf under the chairmanship of the head of the Auqaf, Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq.

In a statement issued to the Kashmir Media Watch, The meeting finalized the arrangements at the historic Central Jamia Masjid Srinagar for the convenience of worshippers and visitors on the occasions of Shab-e-Qadr and Jumat-ul-Vida.

It was decided that on the night of Shab-e-Qadr, Taraweeh prayers will begin at 10:00PM, followed by the Mirwaiz e Kashmirs religious sermon and Shab khani from 12:00 midnight.
The congregational Friday prayer on Jumat-ul-Vida will be held at 2:30 PM, while Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir will deliver his sermon from 12:45 PM.

As in past, arrangements were finalised to facilitate the worshippers and visitors during these sacred days, especially to those coming from far-off areas, ensuring their comfort and ease at the central Jamia Masjid Srinagar.

On this occasion, Mirwaiz Sahib instructed the Auqaf officials and staff to diligently fulfill their responsibilities regarding electricity, water, cleanliness, and othet arrangements .

The meeting also urged the civil administration to ensure uninterrupted power supply, availability of water, proper traffic management, and special attention to cleanliness in and around the mosque during these blessed days.

The members, staff, and officials of Anjuman Auqaf assured Mirwaiz of their commitment to uphold the sanctity of the central Jamia Masjid and to fulfill their religious and communal responsibilities in the best possible manner, ensuring that no inconvenience is caused to the worshippers and visitors.

Worshippers have also been requested to bring their own prayer mats (Jaye Namaz) when coming to offer Friday prayers on Jumat-ul-Vida at the central Jamia Masjid.

Meanwhile, the series of sermons and religious lectures by Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir continues during the holy month of Ramadan. In this regard, a religious gathering is being organized today at Masjid Sharif Al-Faruqia, Lachri Pora, Nowshera.
