After the windstorm, violent tragedies shake the valley

Srinagar: Thursday gave yet another jolt to the people who were trying to compose themselves after the terror of the tempest. Many violent encounters are today being witnessed in Kashmir with both the north and south Kashmir getting involved within the clutches of the tragedies.

                                      The North is witnessing a fierce encounter in Chanderhama Tehsil Pattan of District Baramulla, between the militant outfits and the security forces. The said encounter has so far claimed the life of one Nisar Ahmad. R/o tangmarg . detailed reports are still awaited in the matter. On the other hand south Kashmir has witnessed a fierce car blast near Bijbehara Police Station which too has claimed a civilian life so far and has rendered as many as 6 people critically injured. Moreover, many informal reports suggest that one Ajaz Ahmed detained a few days back in Sopore Police Station has died in Police Custody. It is symbolic of the fact that both the gates of the summer capital viz, north and south have been simultaneously attacked giving a signal towards a strong presence of militant organizations within Kashmir, which the authorities especially the security forces have been denouncing recently.(KMW NEWS)
