Kargil, January 15, 2026: Administrative Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department, UT Ladakh, Mozes Kunzang, along with Joint Director Sports Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zabdavi, today attended the final match of the Women’s Ice Hockey competition at Biamathang Ice Hockey Rink, Kargil, held as part of the 5th LG Ladakh Ice Hockey Championship 2026.

On the occasion, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kargil, besides other officials, sports enthusiasts were present.

The closely fought Women’s Final was played between LWIBF and ITBP Women’s Team, in which ITBP Women registered a convincing win by 07 goals to 03.

During the event, the dignitaries also facilitated various media personnel and other individuals in recognition of their contribution towards the promotion of sports activities and coverage of winter sports events in Kargil district.

The dignitaries appreciated the increasing participation of women in ice hockey and commended the Youth Services and Sports Department for its sustained efforts in promoting winter sports and nurturing local talent in the region.
