ADC Kargil reviews arrangements for celebration of National Voters Day

Kargil, Jan 11, 2025: Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for the celebration of National Voters Day (NVD) in the district.

The meeting was attended by SDM Drass, Vishal Atri, Chief Education Officer Kargil, S. D. Namgyail, Executive Engineer PDD Kargil, Feroz Ahmad, Executive Engineer Mechanical Mohd Hassan, SVEEP Nodal Officer, Tehsildars (AEROs), and other concerned officers and officials.

During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held to review various arrangements for the smooth celebration of National Voters Day on 25th January.

The meeting decided that the main function of the NVD will be held at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Biamathang, Kargil. The ADC was briefed about program details for the main NVD event.

On the occasion, the ADC impressed upon the officers to work with dedication and coordination to ensure vibrant celebration of the event.

He directed the concerned to ensure maximum public participation in the NVD event by utilizing social media and other platforms for widespread awareness and outreach.

During the meeting, it was decided that as per the past practice, a pledge will be taken at every office to commemorate National Voters’ Day.

During the meeting, the ADC instructed PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply, MC Kargil was directed to provide toilet facilities, and DIPR Kargil was asked to install a PA system and coverage of the event.

The Chief Education Officer, Kargil was directed to facilitate active participation of students in the National Voters’ Day event.

The meeting also decided that the events for celebration of NVD shall also be held in Tehsil and Booth level across the district.
