8 killed, 9 injured as vehicle falls into gorge

Srinagar: Eight people were killed and nine others injured, some of them critically, when their vehicle fell into a deep gorge in Tangdar sector here.

Official sources said a passenger vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the gorge at Cobra Post on Tangdhar link road resulting in on the spot death of seven passengers and injuries to ten others last evening.
Rescue teams immediately rushed to the spot and the injured were shifted to hospital. Later, one of the injured died while condition of some of them is stated to be critical.
