Kargil, January 26: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated today in Chiktan with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Chiktan, Dr Sanjat Bhardwaj took the salute and unfurled the National Flag. All the officers of Chiktan Tehsil were present at the venue.
The SDM spoke about the importance of Constitution in a diverse nation like India and emphasized that it provides both Rights and Duties for the citizens. He also highlighted the achievements of different departments of the area.
Cultural programmes were also organized and participants took part in actively. The chief guest and other officers also presented prizes/momentos to the performers of the cultural programmes and appreciation certificates to outstanding employees.
