JAMMU, JANUARY 30: The Government on Saturday informed that 76 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 18 from Jammu division and 58 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 124449. Also 03 COVID-19 deaths have been reported, 01 from Jammu Division and 02 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 135 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 25 from Jammu Division and 110 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 124449 positive cases, 761 are Active Positive, 121752 have recovered and 1936 have died; 721 in Jammu division and 1215 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 4524200 test results available, 4399751 samples have been tested as negative till 30thJanuary, 2021.
Till date 1115352 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 34050 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 761 in isolation and 93121 in home surveillance. Besides, 985484 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 26185 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today) with 225 Active Positive, 25504 recovered (including 70 cases recovered today), 456 deaths; Baramulla has 8115 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 45Active Positive, 7896 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 174 deaths; Budgam reported 7766 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today)with 40 active positive cases, 7609 recovered (including 04cases recovered today), 117 deaths; Pulwama has 5719 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today)with 50 Active Positive, 5581 recovered (including 16 cases recovered today)and 88 deaths; Kupwara has 5658 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today) with 33 Active Positive, 5530 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today), 95 deaths; Anantnag district has 4900 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today)with 57 Active Positive, 4758 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today), 85 deaths; Bandipora has 4692 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today)with25 Active Positive and 4606 recoveries, 61 deaths; Ganderbal has 4611 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today)with 47 Active Positive, 4518 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today)and 46deaths; Kulgam has 2694 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 24 Active Positive, 2616 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today)and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2570 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with25 active positive cases, 2506 recoveries and 39 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 24957 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 103 active positive cases, 24483 recoveries (including 21 cases recovered today), 371 deaths; Udhampur has 4201 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)27active positive cases, 4117 recovered and 57 deaths; Rajouri has 3868 positive cases with 05 active positive, 3808 recoveries and 55 deaths; Doda has 3429 positive cases with (including 01 cases reported today)01 Active positive, 3364 recovered and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3254 positive cases with 03 active positive cases, 3199 recovered and 52 deaths; Kishtwar has 2731 positive cases with 01 Active Positive, 2708 recoveries;22 deaths; Samba has 2830 positive cases with 14 active positive cases, 2776 recoveries and 40 deaths; Poonch has 2500 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today)with 33 active positive, 2443recoveriesand 24 deaths; Ramban has 2131 positive caseswith02 active positive, 2108 recoveries and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1638 positive with 01 active positive cases, 1618 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today)and 15 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 124449 positive cases in J&K, 11682 have been reported as travelers while 112767 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1321 COVID dedicated beds, 1185 Isolation beds with 1170 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 120 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2345 COVID dedicated beds, 2197 Isolation beds where 2134 beds are vacant and 148 ICU beds where 136are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 3666 COVID dedicated beds, 3382 Isolation beds with 3304 beds vacant and 284 ICU beds with 256 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
