Jammu, Aug 30 At least seven passengers were killed and five injured as cab they were traveling in met with an accident on Tuesday and plunged into a gorge in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A cab on way from Chatroo to Bonda skidded off and fell into a gorge leaving seven persons dead and five injured,” police said.
They said that police along with locals immediately swung into action and started the rescue operation.
Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh, who is also Member Parliament from Kathua-Udhampur-Doda constituency, tweeted, “spoke to DC #Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav about an unfortunate road accident at Chatroo with 7 casualties. Injured being shifted to District Hospital #Kishtwar and GMC #Doda as per requirement. All possible help, as required, will be provided.”
