5 Militants killed in Handwara Encounter

Srinagar: Two more militants have been killed in an encounter in the dense forests of Kramhoora, Handwara, taking the toll to five.

Handwara police and Army launched a joint operation in the dense forests of Kramhoora, Handwara falling under the jurisdiction of police station Handwara. The militants hiding in the forests resorted to heavy fire, which was retaliated ensuing in an encounter in which five militants were killed when reports last came in. More details to follow.
