5 CRPF men; 2 militants killed in Bemina fidayeen attack: Police

Srinagar: At about 1045 hours, this morning fidayeen attacked CRPF personnel who were readying for law and order deployments near Police Public School, Bemina Srinagar. Some boys were playing Cricket in the nearby field. Meanwhile, the local SP along with the police also reached the spot. In this attack, five CRPF jawans sacrificed their lives. Two militants were also killed. Four civilians and six CRPF men were also injured in this attack. The CRPF men who were killed have been identified as ASI A.B Singh, Constable Om Prakash, Constable L.Parmol, Constable Shubash and Constable Satish Shah. The CRPF men who were injured have been identified as SI Ashok Kumar, Constable Jeevan Kishore, Constable A.R Rarveen, Constable T. Bharat Bai, Constable Goswami Yadesh and Constable Ram Prasad.
The civilians who were injured in this attack were identified as Obaid Ahmad Dar son of Farooq Ahmad, Mudasir Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Ahmad, Bemina, Sohail Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad and Asif Ahmad Hajam son of Nazir Ahmad all  residents of Bemina. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard
