JAMMU, FEBRUARY 10:The Government on Wednesday informed that 45 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 06 from Jammu division and 39 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 125052. Also 01 COVID-19 death has been reported from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 32 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 05 from Jammu Division and 27 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 125052 positive cases, 605 are Active Positive, 122502 have recovered and 1945 have died; 722 in Jammu division and 1223 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 4752735 test results available, 4627683 samples have been tested as negative till 10thFebruary, 2021.
Till date 1191190 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 34278 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 605 in isolation and 105202 in home surveillance. Besides, 1049160 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 26419 positive cases (including 23 cases reported today) with 215 Active Positive, 25746 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 458 deaths; Baramulla has 8136 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 16 Active Positive, 7945 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 175 deaths; Budgam reported 7808 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today)with 42 active positive cases, 7648 recovered (including 01 cases recovered today), 118 deaths; Pulwama has 5767 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 49 Active Positive, 5630 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today)and 88 deaths; Kupwara has 5667 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)08 Active Positive, 5563 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 96 deaths; Anantnag district has 4943 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 50 Active Positive, 4807 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today), 86 deaths; Bandipora has 4700 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with18 Active Positive and 4621 recoveries, 61 deaths; Ganderbal has 4650 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 56 Active Positive, 4547 recoveriesand47 deaths; Kulgam has 2703 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 17 Active Positive, 2632 recoveries and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2579 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with15 active positive cases, 2524 recoveries and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 25042 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 54 active positive cases, 24617 recoveries, 371 deaths; Udhampur has 4226 positive cases 23active positive cases, 4146 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 57 deaths; Rajouri has 3870 positive cases with 02 active positive, 3813 recoveries and 55 deaths; Doda has 3435 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with05 Active positive, 3366 recovered (including 01 cases recovered today)and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3256 positive cases with 03 active positive cases, 3200 recovered and 53 deaths; Kishtwar has 2732 positive cases with 01 Active Positive, 2709 recoveries;22 deaths; Samba has 2832 positive cases with 07 active positive cases, 2785 recoveries and 40 deaths; Poonch has 2507 positive cases with 16 active positive, 2467recoveriesand 24 deaths; Ramban has 2135 positive caseswith02 active positive, 2112 recoveries and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1645 positivewith 06 active positive cases, 1624 recoveries and 15 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 125052 positive cases in J&K, 11827 have been reported as travelers while 113225 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1091 COVID dedicated beds, 962 Isolation beds with 957 vacant beds and 129 ICU beds where 116 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 1570 COVID dedicated beds, 1484 Isolation beds where 1428 beds are vacant and 86 ICU beds where 75are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 2661 COVID dedicated beds, 2446 Isolation beds with 2385 beds vacant and 215 ICU beds with 191 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
