4 killed in South Kashmir

Srinagar: Four people were killed and one injured in the firing outside a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in South Kashmir today. Music maestro Zubin Mehta’s ‘Concert for Kashmir’ is being held in Shalimar garden on the bank of famed Dal Lake this evening.

A senior police officer said militants attacked a CRPF camp at Gagran with automatic weapons in Shopian district, about 55 km from here at 1300 hrs.

Security personnel, guarding the camp, also retaliated and the exchange of fire continued for some time.
