4 Died, 8 Injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Nov 01(KMW): Four persons died and eight others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley.

Three person were killed when a Tipper bearing registration number JK03D/6948 and Tavera bearing registration number JK03D/1321 collided near petrol pump Barsoo, Awantipora, in the jurisdiction of police station Awantipora. The dead were identified as Kouser Mohi-ud-Din Ahanger son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din resident of Hanjiwera Pattan, Sajad Ahmed Peer son of Peer Bashir Ahmad resident of Peth Kanihama, Budgam and Tavera driver Umar Farooq Reshi son of Farooq Ahmad Reshi resident of Sail Awantipora. Besides, seven persons were also injured in the mishap. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Sumo bearing registration number JK01K/7671 hit and injured a pedestrian Junaid Rashid Masoodi son of Abdul Rashid resident of Kawoosa at Kawoosa, Budgam, in the jurisdiction of police station Magam. The injured was shifted to JVC Bemina, Srinagar for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
Meanwhile, an unidentified vehicle hit and injured a girl Shazia Gull daughter of Gull Mohammad Khan resident of Tangmarg near Board of School Education Bemina, Srinagar. The injured has been shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
