Srinagar, Jun 27 (KMW): In another dreadful road accident, four persons were killed and seven others injured when a cab fell into gorge in Uri area of Baramulla district. According to the details received by Kashmir News Service, a cab bearing number JKO5B-8962 was carrying the passengers towards Uri area during which the vehicle went out of control and fell into a deep gorge after which all the passengers in the vehicle were injured. The injured were later taken to the sub district hospital where four persons were declared brought dead. The killed were identified as Mohammad Hanief , Noor Husain residents of Thajal Uri, Imtiyaz Ahmad Kakroo resident of Gharkot Uri and Manzoor Ahmad Chopaan hailing from resident of Ramban.
The injured admitted in the district hospitals of Uri and Baramulla were identified as Iftikhar Awaan, Mohammad Ashraf, Gul Mohammad, Mohammad Hussain , Haneef paswal, Sareer Ahmad and Naseer Khokhar.
The Inspector General of Police (IG) Traffic Muneer Khan told KNS over phone that the government is ascertaining the reason of the accident and that he has already sent the senior officials of his department to verify the facts. “It was the tempo traveler that met with this accident. Over loading cannot be the reason. The initial investigation into the matter has informed that due to more slop on the road- the accident would have occurred.â€
