2 Policemen Killed in Separate Attacks

Srinagar, February 25 (KMW) : Two police personnel were killed by suspected militants in two separate incidents across Kashmir valley.

Constable Kultar Singh who was guarding a religious shrine in Chari-Sharief area of Budgam was shot at by militants who decamped with his service rifle. Singh later succumbed to his injuries at 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar.

In another attack, militants shot at constable Farooq Ahmad Yatoo who was guarding Hurriyat (M) executive member Fazal Haq Qureshi at his residence in Bilal Colony Soura. Militants also decamped with his service rifle as well. Yatoo succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura.

No militant organisation has yet claimed the responsibility.
