2 of 3 LPG connections of J&K CM blocked

Srinagar: Two of the three LPG connections of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah were blocked today.

Following reports on New Delhi Based IBNLIVE.COM that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was enjoying three Hindustan Petrolium (HP) gas connections, the Chief Minister decided to surrender two connections.

Official sources said Mr Abdullah this morning requested the concern dealer of his area to disconnect two connections.

The gas agency has today blocked his two connections while the third is active.

After cap on subsidised gas cylinders. The gas agencies decided that a consumer can have only one gas connection from any of the company.

However, Chief Minister was availing three connections when the people in the state where facing acute shortage.

More than 1, 50, 000 gas connections were cancelled in Jammu on similar grounds.

The process in Kashmir valley was still going on.
