2 Local militants gunned down in Pulwama gunbattle: Police

SRINAGAR, JUNE 30: In continuation of the violent acts rocking Kashmir this summer especially in South Kashmir two militants were killed in an intense encounter in Newa area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant outfit.

Police identified the slain duo as Ayoub Lone of lelhar Kakpora and Manzoor of Gandibagh Kakapora.

Meanwhile when this report was being filled, massive clashes are going on in Malwari village and adjacent areas where the gunfight took place.

Police and paramilitary forces are using teargas shells to disperse the angry protesters and pitched battles are taking place.
It is worth pointing outhere that South Kashmir’s Pulwama District since many years has seen many educated youth picking arms and falling to bullets and also seen many security personnel getting killed in daring militant attacks.
