Islamabad, June 8 At least 18 people were killed when a passenger van fell into a ditch on the Zhob National Highway in Quetta in Pakistan on Wednesday.
The van had left Loralai for Zhob, local official Hafiz Muhammad Qasim told the Dawn newspaper.
“The vehicle fell from a hilltop near Akhtarzai and all the 18 were killed in the accident,” he said. Akhtarzai is a tribal area located at an elevation of 1,572 metres.
The deceased included women and children as well. Nine of the dead were from the same family.
