Department of Agriculture issues calendar of activities under NMS

PAMPORE, MAY 05(KMW): To achieve the target of rejuvenation of 1772 hectares of Saffron land in district Pulwama and Srinagar under National Mission on Saffron during the year 2015-2016, the department of Agriculture has issued calendar for different activities like registration of farmers, Publicity for offered list, inputs to be dumped in the stores, Extraction of Corms/rejuvenation, the Agriculture Department has organised a function under National Mission on Saffron J&K State here today.
On the occasion, the State Nodal officer for national Mission on Saffron stressed upon the officers and officials associated with the mission to work in mission mode with zeal & zest to achieve the targets. He directed the Chief Agriculture Officer Pulwama to organize awareness Camps at every nook & corner of the area so that every officer and official reach out to the farmers. He said that this year the rejuvenation process has been started one month earlier as compared to last year, so that the farmers get enough time for registration and get benefited.
On this occasion, Chief Agriculture Officer Pulwama assured that all the staff involved in this mission will work with dedication & zeal and will complete this prestigious mission well in time.
