14th Tranche of Rozgar Mela Held in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 23: The Rozgar Mela was organized today at the BSF Humhama Campus, Srinagar. This is the fourteenth tranche of Rozgar Mela of handling over Offer of Appointment letters to the newly inducted recruits. The event took place simultaneously at 45 locations across the country. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the newly appointed candidates through virtual mode.

The programme at Humhama was presided over by Union Cabinet Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar who distributed the letters to 109 candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Punjab. These appointees will serve in various organizations such as the BSF, CISF, Assam Rifles, Postal Services, Banking Sector, Department of Higher Education, and Central University of Kashmir, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Virendra Kumar highlighted the government’s mission mode recruitment drive, highlighting its role in creating employment opportunities for the youth. He urged the new appointees to be considerate and empathetic while addressing the issues of the people. The Minister reiterated the Prime Minister’s commitment to empowering youth and addressing employment challenges, further solidifying the Rozgar Mela’s role in nation-building.

Earlier, Inspector General, BSF Kashmir, Shri Ashok Yadav welcomed the dignitaries and participants. DIG, BSF Kashmir, Shri Alok Chakravarty congratulated the new appointees and expressed gratitude to the Government of India for hosting the event at the Humhama Campus.
