10 more patients tested positive for H1N1 at SKIMS; 1 more patient dies

Srinagar, Feb 22 (KMW): One more patient died last night at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura due to swine flu.
In a statement to KMW SKIMS PRO Sana Kulsoom said, “Last night, 28-year-old male patient from Kokernag who had cardiac comorbidities like AR, MR and left ventricular failure and had been admitted at SKIMS on February 19 for those conditions only died. The Patient had tested positive for H1N1.”
“One more patient was admitted at SKIMS who was a 20-year-old female from Soura. The patient is stable. Thus total number of patients admitted at SKIMS is eight,” she said.
“200 patients with respiratory symptoms were seen at SKIMS special OPD on Sunday up to 3pm.out of which swabs were taken from 30 patients,” the PRO said and added number of phone calls have been received at SKIMS help line were misconceptions of public have been removed.
