Islamabad, Oct 28 At least one terrorist and two soldiers were killed on Friday in two separate terror incidents in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, a military statement said.
One terrorist was killed and two others injured in an intelligence-based operation by the security forces in Tirah area of Khyber district of KP, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement.
The terrorists suffered the losses in the counter-terror operation following an intense exchange of fire, the ISPR said, adding that the injured were apprehended by the security forces.
“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from these terrorists, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and target killing of innocent civilians in the area,” said the ISPR.
In another development, two young soldiers were killed when an improvised explosive device exploded in Sarwekai area in the South Waziristan district of the province, according to the statement.
Sanitization operation was being carried out to eliminate the possible presence of the terrorists in the area, according to the ISPR.
