1 militant killed in encounter in south Kashmir, 2 still trapped

Srinagar, Sep 2 : One militant was killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces at Hanjan in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said here today.

Meanwhile, two militants were still trapped inside a house, they said, adding the house was surrounded and efforts were going on to catch them.

They said based on specific intelligence about presence of three militants in Hanjan in Pulwama, Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation in the area.
