03 die, 02 injured in different road accidents in Valley

Srinagar November, 27: Three persons died while two others were injured in different road accidents in the valley.
In Anantnag, a Scooty driven by Majid Farooq Bhat resident of Sagam hit and injured a pedestrian namely Ghulam Nabi Rather son of Mohammad Ahsan Rather resident of Hiller at Hiller in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kokernag. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
In another accident, a vehicle bearing registration number JK02S-2220 hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Mohammad Lone resident of K-Kalan near Forest Check Post Badroo in the jurisdiction of Police Station Srigufwara. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
Anantnag police has registered cases regarding both the accidents.
In Kupwara, a vehicle of Beacon Authorities bearing registration number CH0839 driven by Santosh Kumar hit and injured a pedestrian Khazir Mohammad Bhat son of Mohammad Ahsan resident of Kalaroos at Kalaroos. The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Kupwara police has registered a case in this regard.
In Handwara, a passenger Bus bearing registration number JK01E-3272 and a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK09A-2724 driven by Athar Mushtaq Lone resident of Pandithpora met with an accident near DFO Office Langate, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion mate Jehangir Ahmad Mir resident of Pandithpora. Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital Handwara for treatment.
