02 drug peddlers arrested in Bandipora,06 Kilograms of charas recovered

Srinagar 10 June: Two drug peddlers were arrested in Bandipora and 06 kilograms of charas was recovered from their possession.
Acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Sumbal headed by SDPO Sumbal Shri Rashid Akbar and SHO Sumbal Shri Mehboob Hussain laid a naka near Tangpora, Sumbal. During naka checking a Maruti 800 car bearing registration number JK01V-0401 was intercepted. On search of the vehicle, 06 Kilograms of charas was recovered. Two persons who were identified as Afroz Ahmad Wani resident of Naninara Sumbal and Mohammad Amin Hajam resident of Tangpora, Sumbal boarding the vehicle were arrested. A case FIR number 84/2016 under section 8/20 NDPS was registered against them and investigation was taken up.
