LAHORE: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Saturday that he would face the outcome of the memo scandal inquiry.
The prime minister said that President Zardari had no involvement with the inquiry and there were conspiracies being hatched to have him involved in the scandal.
Gilani while commenting on PML-N president Nawaz Sharif taking the memo matter to the Supreme Court said there was no justification for this since there was already an inquiry being conducted by a parliamentary committee.
“Husain Haqqani was asked to resign and we are conducting an inquiry into the memo scandal” Gilani said.
The prime minister was addressing a meeting of the PPP Punjab Parliamentary Party at the Governor House in Lahore.
Gilani also said that during the last four years the government was forced to tackle non issues and despite conspiracies numerous challenges were dealt with.
