Top militant commander killed in Kashmir

Srinagar: A top militant commander was killed by security forces in an encounter in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said.
They said on a tip-off state police and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at Keller in Shopian this morning.
When the area was being sealed, militants opened fire from a house. Security forces also returned fire and in the fierce encounter, one militant was killed.
The slain militant was identified as Muneer Ahmad Gujjar, a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM).
The operation was still going on, when the reports last came in.
