Throat-slit body recovered in Budgam, police registers case: Police version

Srinagar 14 January: A throat-slit body of a youth was recovered from Humhama district Budgam near railway track this morning.
The body has been identified that of Owais Bashir Malik son of Bashir Ahmad Malik resident of Pirbagh. The deceased had gone missing on 12th of January 2016 and a missing report was entered in Police Post Humhama yesterday. The deceased was a student of KITE Polytechnic.
Taking cognizance of the crime police has registered a case FIR number 09/2016 under section 302 RPC in Police Station Budgam. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to the relatives for last rites.
