Srinagar:Â Three persons were killed while seven others injured in separate accidents in Kashmir valley since overnight, official sources told Press Bureau of India on Monday.
They said that an unknown army vehicle hit a pedestrian Ghulam Hassan Ahangar son of Abdul Khaliq near his native Tappar Pattan area in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Ahangar, a shopkeeper by profession and father of five children, died on the spot, they said. The army vehicle managed to escape from the spot while police has registered a case. “A case FIR 96/2011 has been registered and investigations have been launched in this regard,†SHO, Pattan, Manzoor Ahmad told.
A Tractor driver was killed when the vehicle 9chassis number B1-99642) turned turtle at Rampora village near Boniyar Uri in the north district. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Altaf Khan (50) son of Shah Zaman of Noorkhah Baramulla,
In another mishap, a Tata Sumo (JK09-1668) hit a sexagenarian lady, Raja Begum Wife of Late Ghulam Rasool War of Kulangam in north Kashmir, resulting in her death.
Meanwhile, a Tavera (JK05B-1089) hit and injured a 9-year-old boy, Rayees Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman of Pazipora at Batpora, Baramulla. He was hospitalized.
A Truck (JK01A-4467) hit a Motorcycle near Girls Higher Secondary School Khrew in Pampore, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh who was shifted to hospital for treatment. A Maruti Car (JK03-9530) turned turtle near Lesser Hill in Anantnag district police station Dooru, resulting in injuries to Ishrat Jan (20) of Khushipora Dhamhal. Injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
In another accident, an unidentified Motorcycle hit and injured a lady, Mst. Dilshada wife of Javid Ahmad Bakshi of Kheribal Mattan at Ranipora in Anantnag. She was shifted to hospital for treatment.
In yet another accident, a Tata sumo (JK05B-9512) collided with a Maruti Car (JK09-3932) at Drugmullah, Kupwara in north Kashmir, resulting in injuries to three persons traveling in the Car. All the injured were shifted to hospital while police has registered a case.
