SRINAGAR, MARCH 29(KMW): In view of incessant rains in valley and to ensure protection from floods, the Minister, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr. Sukhnandan accompanied by Minister of State for Social Welfare, Ms. Asiya Naqash visited various areas of Srinagar city which include Abi Guzar, Raj Bagh Bund to review the flood situation.
On this occasion, the Chief Engineer Flood Control and other senior officers of Flood Control were also present.
The Minister instructed the authorities to take every step for protection of bund at Raj bagh to combat any eventuality.
He was informed that dewatering process in submerging areas of the city is apace and this process is going on war foot basis. He directed the officer to take every possible steps for dewatering in Srinagar city.
