Chief Secretary Inaugurates service.
JAMMU:- Keeping pace with the latest technological advancements, Srinagar Municipal Corporation today launched its own video conferencing facility at Srinagar today. The facility was inaugurated by Chief Secretary Mr. Madhav Lal from his Jammu Secretariat office through a video conferencing link.
Chief Secretary said that the facility will provide an easy and convenient means for the department to improve its functioning through location-independent and real-time communication access. He congratulated Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Sheikh Mushtaq and his team for this e-governance initiative.
Commissioner SMC Sheikh Mushtaq said that the facility will make it possible to achieve linkages amongst various Municipalities and offices across different districts and towns and the availability of this service will help in organising immediate online conferences and discussions while minimizing strain to participants besides saving time and expenses.(KMW News)
