Rajendra visits Police hospital

Takes stock of medical facilities provided to police personnel
SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 30: Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar today visited Police Hospital Jammu to take stock of the functioning of the Hospital. He was accompanied by ADGP (Headquarters), Mr. S. P. Vaid and other police officers.
During his visit, Mr. Rajendra inspected various units of the hospital including medicine, surgery, gynaecology, radiology, ENT, dental, pathology and laboratories. He also enquired about the availability of drugs in the hospital and arrangements for emergency surgeries, treatments during odd hours.
IGP (Technical), Mr. H. K. Lohia and Medical Superintendent, Dr. Wasiq Rasool briefed the DGP about the medical facilities being provided to the police personnel and their families in the hospital. He was informed that health care and diagnostic facilities for the patients are available in the hospital, besides some major surgeries are conducted t in the hospital. He was also apprised that ambulance facility is provided to the referral cases round the clock.
During the visit, Mr. Rajendra interacted with the patients and enquired about their welfare. He asked to keep available life saving drugs and make available other facilities for the patients and their attendants. He stressed to ensure efficient sanitation in and around the hospital.
DGP expressed hope that the doctors of Police Hospitals would continue their efforts to make successes in the field of medical science. He reiterated that the facilities in Police Hospitals of twin capital cities would be upgraded to provide more medical facilities to the jawans and officers and the families of martyrs.
ADGP (Headquarters), Mr. S. P. Vaid and Executive Engineer, Police Construction Division, Mr. Rashid Mustafa briefed the DGP about the infrastructure of the hospital. DGP directed the concerned to chalk out a comprehensive plan of the requirements to enhance the efficiency of the hospital.
Mr. Rajendra appreciated the dedicated services of the doctors of hospital for providing better health care to the police personnel and their families. He stressed that joint efforts are required to make available advanced health care to the patients and said that all required diagnostic and surgical equipments would be provided to improve health care facilities in the institution.
Among others, the DGP was accompanied by DIG Jammu, Mr. Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, SSP Jammu, Mr. Uttan Chand, Dr. Kirti Bushan Sharma, Dr. Ajay Misri and other police officers.
