Jammu: Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will begin his two-day visit to the mountainous state of Jammu and Kashmir from September 26, party sources here today said.
“During his two-day visit to the state, Mr Gandhi will visit all the three regions including Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh,” party sources told.
They said that on September 26, the youth Congress leader would visit Kargil and Srinagar and on September 27, he will visit Jammu and Reasi districts.
“Rahul’s visit is in context with the membership drive to woo more and more youth to join Congress,” the sources added.
Mr Gandhi is on his first visit to the Valley since 2009 when he had visited Anantnag to campaign for the National Conference candidate in the Lok Sabha elections.
