Protesters fired upon in Pampore, 8 injured

Srinagar: At least eight persons were injured when paramilitary forces opened fire on demonstrators in Pampore town in the outskirts of Srinagar Wednesday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said that at least eight persons were injured, six of whom had received gun shots, when a peaceful demonstration was fired upon at Konbal in the world famous saffron-growing town of Pampore. The injured have been shifted to various hospitals.
