Jammu: President Pratibha Devisingh Patil’s will be on a three-day visit to this winter capital of the state commencing from November 25.
“The President will be on a three-day visit to Jammu and during her stay in the region, she will address a convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra besides inspecting the ongoing construction work of heritage Mubarak Mandi complex,” sources here today told.
After her arrival on November 25, she would fly to SMVDU to address the convocation and would return in the evening to inspect Tosha Khana at Mubarak Mandi Complex, they added.
She would also attend the presentation of CEO Mubarak Mandi Complex and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) besides inaugurating a photo exhibition on the historical building.
“On November 26, Ms Patil would visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDB) and in the afternoon she will fly to Bhawan to pay obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi situated in Trikuta Hills,” the sources added.
On the last leg of her stay in the town, the President would grace the Dogra Rattan Awards function organised by the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party Chairman Prof Bhim Singh at Police Auditorium, Gulshan Ground, they added.
