President Bar Association Kargil Meets CAT Judicial and Administrative Members

Kargil, October 09: The President of the Bar Association Kargil, Advocate Riyaz Ahmad Khan,along with General Secretary Advocate Talip Hussain and  Advocate Asgar Yarkeen,held a meeting with Hon’ble Judicial Member Mr. Latif Ahmad and Administrative Member Mr. Prashant Kumar of the  Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) at the Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC), Kargil.During the meeting OSD to Law secretary Stanzin Chostak was also present

During the meeting,  Advocate Riyaz Ahmad Khan warmly welcomed the Hon’ble Members of the CAT and expressed gratitude on behalf of the Bar Association Kargil for holding the CAT sittings in Kargil, which have provided significant relief and convenience to litigants and advocates in the region.

The President further requested the Hon’ble Members to continue the functioning of the CAT Bench at Kargil during the winter months as well, considering the harsh climatic conditions and communication challenges faced by the local populace.

The visiting Members appreciated the warm reception by the Bar Association and assured that the concern regarding the continuity of the Bench during winter would be taken into consideration.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the Advocates Asgar Yarkeen acknowledging the efforts of the CAT Members and reaffirming the Bar Association’s commitment to extending full cooperation to the Tribunal in the future.
