ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and its allied parties on Frdiay finalized Raja Pervaiz Ashraf as their candidate for the post of Prime Minister.Senior PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah announced the decision during a press conference here along with leaders of allied parties including MQM’s Syed Haider Abbas Rizvi, ANP’s leader Afrasiab Khattak and PML-Q’s Sardar Bahadur Sehar.Khursheed Shah said that nominations papers for premiership were submitted by three leaders of PPP, however the allied parties had given full authority to PPP leadership for finalization of any name for the slot.He thanked the leadership of allied parties for their support in this regard. “We will continue our efforts for continuation of healthy politics in the country,” he said.He said parliament is supreme and every one should play due role for parliament’s supremacy in the country. He observed that confrontation between institutions will weak the country and its people and advised to avoid it.
